MULTI - COLOR MICROPHONE WINDSCREEN
SETS |
|
THREE SETS OF INTERCHANGABLE WIND
SCREENS -BOTH FUNCTIONAL AND DECORATIVE.
Each soft foam screen adds depth and
beauty that the entertainer will find hard to
resist. Instant color
is added to his/her act. Unwanted breath noise due
to close talking is eliminated when windscreen
is slipped over microphone. POP and WIND Noise
usually associated with outdoor use is filtered out
as the foam material is made of open
pore urethane foam. -Indoors or out, any microphone
can now
look different each time - and sound
the same every time. A tip for users of mike mixers
- avoid mike
mix - ups.Identify each mixer control
with the color of the windscreen on the microphone
it controls.

TIE-CLASP MICROPHONES
The bantam-sized
ELECTRETS with the heavyweight
performance.
These inconspicuous microphones are
highly sensitive and have the
flat frequency response needed for high
fidelity sound reproduction.
There are THREE models to choose from.
OMNI-DIRECTIONALS (Condenser Cartridge
Type)
# EM300 - All new version of the
popular tie clasp microphone has
pickup element and amplifier built into
the tie clasp housing. The battery (easy
to find, 1.5V AA) is housed in separate
housing that plugs into amplifier. The
14 foot length cable is terminated with
3.5mm plug which plugs into battery
housing. Unit is not supplied with
battery. The No. EM300 is packaged on an
attractive display card.
#'s CM55 & CM56 - These models
have a smaller microphone housing,
11/16 x 5/16 D. The size reduction is
accomplished by placing the battery and
amplifier external to the microphone
element.
The # CM55 has the
battery-powered amplifier circuitry
located in the standard phone plug
handle at the other end of the shielded
20 foot cable. The handle is unscrewed
to remove the battery. An ON-OFF switch
in the handle of the plug disconnects
the battery in the OFF position,
making it unnecessary to remove the
battery when the microphone is not being
used.
The # CM56 has an in-line small
cylindrical container for the battery
and amplifier. An additional feature is
a built-in ON-OFF switch in the
cylindrical housing which disconnects
the battery in the OFF position.
This switch will protect battery life if
the user forgets to remove the battery
when the microphone is not being used.
The shielded 20 foot cable is terminated
in a miniature 3.5mm plug. For
applications requiring a standard phone
plug, a mini plug to standard plug
adaptor (Philmore No. 532A) may be used.
The #'s CM55 & CM56 are both
supplied in a handy reusable carrying
case. A battery is supplied and is
replaceable with an Eveready 387
or equivalent.
# CMCLIP - Replacement tie clasp
for Nos. CM55 & CM56 |

Media Star
MICROPHONES, Sound Performance Products |
Philmore MediaStar dynamic
microphones have been designed to bring to the user
a choice of quality microphones
at very reasonable prices. Quality sound and extreme
durability are both characteristics of this fine
looking series: solid metal bodies, no plastics, no
thin walls. This heavy construction eliminates the
hollow, on-stage handling sounds as well as RF
interference from common devices such as radios,
TVs, local broadcast stations, etc.
Connecting cables are molded of flexible premium
rubber, to provide durability and to permit the user
freedom of movement. The all- important microphone
sound sensing element is precision designed and
quite good even in the lowest cost microphone in
this series. An even (flat) frequency response,
especially important to the music lover, can be
expected across the human hearing range. All
MediaStar microphones have a removable cord which
connects at the base of the microphone. Model 1500
has a cord terminated in a 1/4 phone plug, which is
a standard for unbalanced (and usually less costly)
amplifiers. All other MediaStar microphones are
supplied with a cord terminated in a 3-pin XLR
connector for use with amplifiers that have a
balanced input. MediaStar microphones may be used
with either balanced or unbalanced systems by simply
changing the microphone cord. More information about
this is in other parts of this literature. DID YOU
KNOW?...
that it is almost impossible to overload a
dynamic microphone. And that the dynamic microphone
is relatively unaffected by temperature and
humidity. |
Media Star Microphones Bring to
you:
Quality sound at a far better cost., Quality
Construction, solid metal case, precision protective
metal grilles and flexible, genuine rubber
microphone cords. Versatility, may be used on stage
indoors or out of doors, weather permitting. Why a
Dynamic Microphone? The dynamic microphone element
consists of a precision wound, pure copper coil
surrounding a permanent magnet. A sensitive
diaphragm picks up sound, moving the coil which
generates an electrical signal matching the sound.
This is the most dependable of microphone
technologies. The dynamic microphone is more durable
than an electret -condenser microphone, which should
probably not be used in
stage performances at all. And, the dynamic
microphone does not require internal batteries,
which could expire at the worst possible moment.
Cost differences are due primarily to increasingly
precise coils, increasingly more costly magnets and
higher precision in the diaphragm. Physically, all
MediaStar microphones are designed to be durable,
dependable and as good a value for each dollar as
you will find. Many recording artists insist that a
dynamic microphone yields the warmest sound. We
agree. |
